The program

What is this program?

This program was independently developed by Milestone Legal Search and BEL Partners, which have combined to form Bellstone Legal Recruiting. The course was born out of 30+ years in the legal recruiting industry, and teaches the fundamentals of legal recruiting, ranging from sourcing candidates to the anatomy and timeline of a successful placement and all points in between, as well as the tips and recommended best practices that hold it all together. The goal is not to create a required course to enter the field of legal recruiting, but rather it is designed to elevate the overall caliber of the legal recruiting profession, which has a notoriously low or limited bar to entry, and no universally accepted standards of practice or license required to become a legal recruiter.

This program is NOT a guarantee of any present or future success as a legal recruiter, nor is it required to practice as a legal recruiter. It is NOT meant to replace any other available education or experience that will help you succeed in the legal recruiting industry. Importantly, this course is NOT a guide on ethics or legalities that must be followed to become a legal recruiter or have a successful legal recruiting career.

SCOTT HODES

Founder: Milestone Legal Search and Bellstone Legal Recruiting

Scott is an experienced legal recruiter, as well as a former law firm associate and partner, who has worked with candidates and developed strong relationships with his clients for the past 17 years. Scott has successfully found new homes for over 100 lateral associate, Counsel and partner candidates. Scott is a proud graduate of the University of Florida and University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he obtained his JD. Scott also holds an LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami. Scott is a regular attendee and presenter at the National Association of Law Placement (NALP) Conference, the largest legal recruiting conference in the country. He has led and moderated three seminars at the conference:
